Linda
Kucera removes a window from the WRS Steam Box which is used in the restoration process. Through the use of the steam box
the heat softens the many layers of paint and glaze while protecting the wood and preventing glass breakage. The WRS Steam
Box is the same one that is used to restore the windows in the White House including the Oval Office.

After
removing the window from the steam box layers of old paint & glaze are carefully removed from the sash. Another benefit to
using a steam box is to protect the glass from breaking during the restoration process.
